Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day, which is celebrated mainly in the United States, I believe. My brother is visiting Russia, and I suppose he will be celebrating in some way (I think it is already Thursday there).
Anyway, wherever you are, I hope that all readers of this blog have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.
I guess sometimes people expressing such a hope are oblivious to the fact that some people — many people — will not be having a “happy Thanksgiving” for one or more reasons. I’ve lived through four that I can think of where the joy was significantly alloyed by sorrow.
Still — whatever your lot at the moment — I do hope you gave a great Thanksgiving and are able to find some things to be thankful for.
Personally, I have a lot to be thankful for. My dear daughter is coming home from college for Thanksgiving. I do speak with her every day on the phone — but this will be the first time I have seen her in more than three months!
So, God willing, this will be a good Thanksgiving for me. (P.S. It was!)
